Vintage 1985 ZZ Top Afterburner Album Print Advertisement — Original 1980s Music Promo Ad
Approximately 10 x 12 inches.
This vintage 1985 ZZ Top Afterburner album advertisement captures the peak of the Texas blues-rock trio's commercial dominance in the mid-1980s. The original print ad features bold sci-fi artwork of a sleek red spacecraft rocketing through space past Earth, anchored by the bold tagline 'Their Mission: To Boldly Go Where No Band Has Gone Before' — a cheeky Star Trek nod perfectly suited to ZZ Top's larger-than-life persona. Released on Warner Bros. Records, Afterburner reached platinum status and produced hits including 'Sleeping Bag' and 'Rough Boy.' A collectible ad for any serious rock memorabilia or 1980s pop culture enthusiast.
