Zodiac
Founded in 1882 in Le Locle, Zodiac earned its place in history in 1953 with the Sea Wolf—one of the first commercial dive watches, arriving the same seminal year as the Rolex Submariner and Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Its advertising sold capability without pretense: the Super Sea Wolf pushed to 750 meters and was issued to US Navy frogmen and UDT divers, while the whole line stayed accessible to everyday buyers. Zodiac leaned into that value with genuine wit—the 1960 Aerospace GMT was pitched simply as "twice the time for your money"—and, by the 1970s, into some of the boldest colors and funkiest designs of the era.
